Barcelona Beatles Weekend cultural happenings


DISTRICT OF LES CORTS' TOWN HALL

From June 5th to 28th you can visit an expo about the history of The Beatles at the loby of the District of Les Corts' Town Hall, with material belonging to Josep Maria Francino, Magí Crusells, Vicenç Comas and Jordi Melgosa/Amparo García (including unpublished memorabilia and audiovisuals)


 

 
 
RIERA BLANCA CIVIC CENTRE

A lecture entitled "The Beatles cycle" by Marc Rabaneda and Oscar Corral (in Catalan) will be held on Saturday June 27th at 12 noon at the Riera Blanca Civic Centre's hall (includes live music and audiovisuals)


FILM-HISTORY RESEARCH CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA

On the week from July 6th to 10rd, you can enjoy a Summer course entitled “The Beatles are coming! Spain 1965”. This is a course (in Catalan) coordinated by Magí Crussells, Contemporary History and Cinema professor and deputy direcotr of the Film-History Research Centre of the University of Barcelona. This is a cultural activity ofered by the University as part of its UB Julys Program.


CAN DEU CIVIC CENTRE

You cna enjoy an interesting lecture on The Beatles trajectory by Vicenç Comas, Josep M. Francino and Magí Crusells (in Catalan) on Sunday June 28th at 12 noom at the Can Deu Civic Centre's hall.


SALA JOSEP UCLÉS, EL CARMEN CULTURAL CENTRE, BADALONA

Great expo entitled "The Beatles are coming", fostered by the University of Barcelona, the Badalona City Hall and coordinated by Magí Crusells, professor, historian and great Beatles collector, as part of the Barcelona Beatles Weekend - Les Corts 2015 (see contents and program here). The El Carmen Cultural Centre is located at Francesc Layret, 78-82 (corner with San Francisco of Asisi Street).
